Hallway

 

 

W końcu mogę podzielić się z Wami metamorfozą naszego korytarza, który przed nią wyglądał tak. Minęło prawie 11 lat od ostatniego (i zarazem pierwszego) malowania. Nadszedł czas na odświeżenie tej przestrzeni, która bardzo często jest traktowana po macoszemu (bo kto by się przejmował korytarzem!).  

 

 

 Finally, I can share the makeover of our hallway which used to look like this. It's been almost 11 years since its first (and only!) painting. Well, it was high time to refresh this space, which very often is treated offhandedly (who would have cared for a hallway!).

 

Oto mała komoda ze znanej szwedzkiej sieciówki ;) Przerobiona przeze mnie z wielkim namaszczeniem (relację z tej metamorfozy możecie znaleźć w moich zapisanych stories pt. #dresser). Zakochałam się w niej na nowo! Jest elegancka (granat to kolor elegancji dla mnie!) i dodaje całemu pomieszczeniu odrobinę ekstrawagancji. 

What you see is a small dresser from a Swedish chain store ;) Remade by me with care (the coverage of the makeover you'll find in my saved stories under #dresser tag). I feel in love with it again! It looks sleek (navy is the quintenssence of elegance!) and makes the space look edgier.

Jak widać, zdecydowałam się dodać głównej ścianie charakteru poprzez listwy sztukateryjne, które stanowią nawiązanie do naszych pięknych drzwi oraz dodaja struktury, której jej z pewnością brakowało. Jak przebiegały etapy kładzenia listew znajdziecie na moim stories #hallway). Myślę, że ściana wygląda nieziemsko!

As you can see I decided to add character to the wall by incorporating moulding bars which refer to our beautiful doors and give structure to the wall which it clearly lacked. How we did it step by step you'll find in my stories #hallway). I reckon our wall is simply jaw-dropping!

Nasza rodzinna galeria zmieniła nieco swoje oblicze. Celowo ramy są większe by pomieścić większą ilośc zdjęć. Kinkiety (ramy zresztą też) również z ww. sieciówki ;)

Our family gallery's changed a bit. I've chosen bigger frames in order to fit more photos. Sconces (the frames as well) are from the above mentioned chain store ;)

San Diego to moje marzenie od kilku lat. Dostałam ten plakat od mapaplakat.pl w prezencie i myślę, że prezentuje się wspaniale (szczególnie gdy jest podświetlony!).

San Diego has been on my dream list for years. I got this poster from mapaplakat.pl as a gift and I think it looks stunning (especially when lit up!).

Muszę przyznać, że z tej metamorfozy jestem bardzo dumna, tym bardziej, że to wszystko praca naszych rąk. Ogromna satysfakcja, no i duża oszczędność.

To be honest I'm super proud of this whole makeover, all the more it's our handiwork. Great satisfaction and huge frugality.
